When it comes to fashion, everyone makes a statement with what they wear.
A statement that can change you life or influence they way you carry yourself.

That’s exactly what Mario Alberto for La New Onda would like to do.
Mario Alberto Gallegos Jr is a Dallas based fashion designer who has been on the move in fashion since 2007. Showcasing his skills from Dallas to Charlotte, NC to Washington, DC; and, showcasing during fashion week in New York City. Named by D Magazine as one of Dallas up and coming fashion designers in 2012, his love and romance of fabrics and design show through in structure and craftsmanship. “Old world romance with a modern twist” is what Mario Alberto calls his pieces. In 2013 Mr. Gallegos and business partner Michael Crigger opened up a new incubator concept in Dallas in the heart of Deep Ellum. Petit Atelier, LLC would become Dallas’ place to learn classic couture sewing techniques.

Shortly after their success with their studio they opened Tissu, a fabric boutique. A fabric shop providing Dallas with fabrics, notions and trim, hand picked from all around the world.  In 2016 Mr. Gallegos decided to searcher deeper into his roots for his next fashion adventure. Developing a brand that would appeal to all including the changing demographics in American.  Mr. Gallegos came up with, ‘La New Onda’, Spanglish for, the new wave, in reference to the wave trends of fashion. Spanglish, being a common slang among one of the United States largest growing populations, Latinos. He has revived classic silhouettes with modern textiles fusing his Chicano heritage to the images of used in his pieces. “ My goal is to create a free spirited client that embraces culture and style and lives by it”, says Mr. Gallegos, “La New Onda” is a lifestyle brand ready to crash its wave into mainstream fashion.
